That’s how many miles I flew in 2008 – to present workshops. It’s a good thing I love presenting and flying!
That number doesn’t include the 6000+ miles I accrued this year flying right seat next to my best friend, best pilot, and best husband, Tom, in a four-seater plane.
I loved meeting writers everywhere I presented. In 2008, those cities included Columbus, Houston, Shreveport, Denver, Syracuse, Tacoma, Washington DC, Detroit, Minneapolis, Atlanta, and Milwaukee. In August, Tom and I spent three weeks Down Under when I presented for the Romance Writers of New Zealand, in Auckland, and for the Romance Writers of Australia, in Melbourne. The writers were as amazing as the trip.
Life is grand!
I am lucky, lucky, lucky. I truly enjoy connecting with writers. Everywhere I go, writers show me their strong commitment to learning. They champion a love of writing. They make my heart dance.
Now that it’s close to the end of the year, my presentations are over for 2008. I’ll spend my weekends at home, treasuring life on the mountain, family, friends, the fun of the holidays, and my writing focus time.
