Zany Event: Flying with Barbara and Margie!
I talked Barbara Vey (cyber goddess of the PW blog, Beyond Her Book) into joining me with a new donation for Brenda Novak’s Diabetes Auction -- ‘Flying with Barbara and Margie.’
Petrified of heights, but never known to pass up a fun time, Barbara agreed to take the risk. She will brave the skies for one hour in my experimental four-seater plane over Annapolis.
Kudos to equally intrepid Nancy Naigle for her winning $310 bid! Nancy’s employer matches charitable donations – so Brenda Novak’s Diabetes Auction netted $620 from this plane ride. Yay!

I clicked on a web site design on Brenda Novak’s Diabetes Auction – and WON! Lisa Norman is as gifted at web design, as she is at reading minds. And you all know my mind is quirky.
I talked Lisa into launching my web site now – even though she says it’s still at the sheet rock stage. Lisa will be adding more twists and spins – which I love on the page, not in the plane. Tom knows the rules. No spins, no loops, no rolls. Drop by again in a few weeks and see Lisa’s amazing web site acrobatics.

Initially I shared a newsletter with Mary Buckham, but we both have such full schedules, we had too many presentations and courses and goodies to cram in one newsletter. Now we both offer newsletters!
My newsletter has a picture at the top -- of our airplane over Colorado mountains. When you see the airplane, you know it is my newsletter.
Each monthly issue includes a Deep Editing Analysis. I analyze visceral emotion, body language, dialogue cues, Emotional Hits, the four levels of powering up emotion—anything I teach in my editing courses. Yay! It’s almost time for me to fly to the east coast with my favorite pilot and husband, Tom. We’ll kick off our vacation with a four-day, 26 member, cousin-and-all family reunion in North Carolina. Our next stops include visiting family and friends in Bowling Green, Annapolis, Princeton, Boston, Danbury – and all the way up to Rockland, Maine – before flying back to Washington, DC for RWA National. I may need to refuel my high-energy jet pack. Twice.
